Defensive Driving Course

Pro-Tech Training Services offers awareness training in Defensive Driving.  Pro-Tech Instructors will explain how the concepts of Defensive Driving can assist you in keeping safe, help reduce or eliminate HTA offences and keep your insurance rates manageable by learning the rules of the road and learning how to cope with all the other drivers that you may be in contact with.

In this course, participants will be given the opportunity to share their experiences and learn from others through discussion of defensive driving elements; discuss how and why various types of motor vehicle collisions occur and what it takes to prevent them. Defensive Driving Course is aimed at elevating a drivers awareness of the driving-related tasks through facilitated discussions. Enrolling your staff in Defensive Driving Course will assist your company in developing long term driver improvement strategies.

The course covers the following topics:

• Principals & foundations of driving

• Skills, knowledge and attitudes for driving

• Visual habits for driving

• Space cushion driving

• Collision avoidance strategies

• Sharing the road with other road users

 This is a one day (6 hour) course for a maximum of 20 participants. Upon completion the participants will receive an Ontario Safety League certificate. Management will receive documentation for company training file.
