Occupational Health & Safety regulations state only trained and authorized operators are permitted to operate mobile equipment . Operators must receive a combination of classroom and hands on training in order to demonstrate their understanding of safe work practices as well as their operational abilities or competency.

Our courses for equipment follow the equipment manufacturers’ training requirements and are modular in fashion. This enables us to instruct on all the aspects of the equipment and environment (site evaluation for hazards) in order to comply with MOL training doctrine.

In-class topics include:

Module 1- Goals, objectives and legislation
Module 2-Components and control identification
Module 3-Safety & Warning Symbols
Module 4-Proper pre-start procedures
Module 5-Starting procedures
Module 6-After start-up checks
Module 7-Operation & Safety
Module 8-Engine shutdown
Module 9-Advantages and limitations
Module 10-Attachments
Module 11-Load Securement and tie-down
Module 12-Preventive maintenance

In-seat and hands-on training re-emphasizes the classroom training in a practical environment with set tasks which are assessed upon completion for competency.

This course is offered in two formats: a two day course (or more depending on skill level) for new operators or a one day refresher course for trained operators.

We instruct on all levels of forklift including construction forklift and telehandler.
