Indoor Cranes Safe Lifting Operations


This is a one day course comprised of classroom theory and a practical component. Candidates will learn how improper operation can impact on the workplace in equipment damage and personal safety.

We will look at the following components for Overhead Crane Operation and Safety:

  • Inspection – Performing a visual inspection of all components
  • Rigging the Load – Proper techniques involved in rigging and inspection of rigging gear
  • Lifting and Moving – Proper method of lifting load, safe moving procedures and proper placement of load.

The practical portion of this course will require the candidate to correctly demonstrate these procedures. A written test is provided.

Actual course length depends on class size and the time required for each candidate to demonstrate the proper techniques. Typical class size would be 10 – 12 candidates.
