How do your driving skills rate? As  a professional driver is image important to you, your employer and to the industry?

Pro-Tech Training Services instructs on the techniques of defensive driving that will enhance your image as a professional driver. It is recommended by the Ministry of Transportation that Defensive Driver Training be a part of your CVOR training program. As an employer, you have a large investment in your drivers; enrolling staff in PDIC course will assist in reduction of collisions, reduce vehicle abuse, reduce injuries and reduce operating costs. Through this course, drivers will:

  • Understand the hazards, and how to drive defensively to prevent collisions

  • Elevate awareness of the driving-related tasks through facilitated discussions

  • Assist company in developing long term driver improvement strategies

Pro-Tech’s facilitator will deliver the nationally recognized Professional Driver Improvement Course to company personnel. This program focuses on giving participants the opportunity to share their experiences and learn from others through discussion of defensive driving elements. It should be emphasized that this program is fundamentally developmental in its aims. It is a one day (6 hour) program with a maximum of 20 participants per class. The course can be offered at your location or our facility in Napanee.

The topics covered are: 

  • Focus on commercial motor vehicles.

  • Principals & foundations of professional driving

  • Skills, knowledge and attitudes for driving

  • Visual habits for driving

  • Space cushion driving

  • Collision avoidance strategies

  • Sharing the road with other road users

 Upon successful completion participants will receive a certificate from Ontario Safety League and Management will receive documentation for company training file.
