Propane in Construction


Upon completion of this course, participants will understand, recognize and evaluate the hazards associated with propane and will be able to safely connect, disconnect and activate propane equipment up to 400,000 BTU/H.

Topics include:

  • Hazard recognition and evaluation
  • Legislative requirements and safe practices
  • Connection, activation and disconnection of propane equipment

Duration depends on class size; usually 4-6 hours. Company provides facilities and equipment. This program involves hands on training outdoors: in class training reviews and outside assessments will be conducted. PPE will be required : gloves, safety glasses or face shield, long sleeves, safety boots. Hard hats where required. 

Management will receive feedback and documentation for training file. Candidates will receive a ROT (Record of Training) card.

CEU’S for water waste water departments: 0.3 units
